Lucas Vidal

 
  Lucas Vidal es, sin ninguna duda, uno de los compositores españoles más reconocidos internacionalmente. Formado en Berklee College of Music, su carrera tomó un impulso decisivo al ser nominado en 2011 como “Breakout Composer of the Year” (IFMCA) por la banda sonora de la película Mientras duermes. En 2012 compuso la música para Fast & Furious 6. Otros de sus trabajos recientes son las bandas sonoras de las películas El enigma del cuervo (The Raven), Invasor, La fría luz del día (The Cold Light of Day), Remember it, Palmeras en la nieve o  Nadie quiere la noche (Nobody Wants the Night), el último film de Isabel Coixet.

Actualmente desarrolla su labor entre España y EE.UU., donde trabaja en la compañía con sede en Los Ángeles Music and Motion Productions. Además de su trabajo para el cine, por el que ha sido reconocido con diversos premios (World Soundtrack Music, Las Vegas International Film Festival, IFMCA, Gaudí…), es autor de música para publicidad, videojuegos y ballet.

  Lucas Vidal is one of Spain’s most internationally renowned composers. Vidal made history when he became the youngest Berklee College of Music student ever to compose and record the score to a feature film with a full orchestra. Vidal’s career was kicked into high gear in 2011 when he was nominated for Breakout Composer of the Year by the International Film Music Critics Association for the film Sleep Tight (Mientras Duermes). In 2012 he composed the musical score for Fast & Furious 6. Other recent projects include The Raven with John Cusack and The Cold Light of Day starring Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver, resulting in a nomination for Discovery of the Year at the World Soundtrack Awards.

Dividing his time between Spain and the US, Vidal works with his partner Steve Dzialowski at LA-based Music and Motion Productions. He has composed dozens of movie scores as well as commercial music jobs, video game soundtracks and ballet scores.
